Quant Climbs as Clearing House Sets Q2 2027 Target for Tokenized-Deposit Transactions
Published October 26, 2026, 10:00 AM PKT. Based on CoinGecko trending searches and Quant market data for October 26, 2026 and Binance spot data for QNT/USDT (primary market data), TokenPost reporting on The Clearing House rollout schedule on October 22, 2026 and on the October 25, 2026 price move, and AInvest, Tickeron, DigitalAssetRadar and CoinStats coverage of the Quant and Clearing House arrangement (secondary sources).
Quant (QNT) climbed on Monday, October 26, 2026, trading near $190 with about $79.1 million in 24-hour volume, according to CoinGecko. The token gained 3.15% in 24 hours and 89.0% over 30 days, while falling 1.50% over seven days, according to the same data, and it ranked 8th on CoinGecko's trending searches on Monday morning. Its market value stood near $2.77 billion, ranking 38th, with about 14.56 million tokens in circulation out of a maximum supply of 14.61 million, according to CoinGecko. The 24-hour trading range ran from $178.09 to $199.98, according to the same data, and Binance spot data put QNT/USDT at $190.40, up 3.29% in 24 hours, with the most recent hourly candle closing at 04:00 UTC on Monday, inside the last hour before publication.
The October 22 schedule: design, preparation, transactions
The catalyst behind the trending interest is a dated schedule, not a vague partnership promise. The Clearing House plans to begin integrating banks into its tokenized-deposit network in fall 2026, with transaction processing targeted for the second quarter of 2027, according to TokenPost reporting on October 22, 2026. The next phase is design work and integration with banks during fall 2026, TokenPost reported, and The Clearing House plans to prepare an opening group of banks and customers during the first quarter of 2027, then start network transactions in the second quarter. Participating institutions are expected to receive access during the first half of 2027, according to the same report.
A tokenized deposit is an electronic record representing bank-held funds, TokenPost explained, and the planned network is intended to let banks clear and settle those deposits across institutions, with support for automated workflows, richer transaction data and around-the-clock settlement. Quant will provide the network's software layer, TokenPost reported, and the firm's assignment includes system interoperability, transaction orchestration and management, plus connections to RTP and CHIPS, the real-time and large-value payment systems The Clearing House already operates. That plumbing detail is the substance of the deal: the new network plugs into rails that already move money, rather than asking banks to adopt an entirely separate settlement world.
The September 24 selection
The schedule follows a selection announced on September 24, 2026, when The Clearing House selected Quant to supply the interoperability, orchestration and transaction-management layer of its On-Chain Money Initiative, a network for financial institutions to clear and settle tokenized deposits, according to AInvest. The Clearing House is a payments operator owned by major United States financial institutions, Tickeron reported, and it says it clears and settles more than $2 trillion a day across wire, ACH, check-image and real-time payments, according to AInvest. The initiative's network is expected to become available to participating institutions in the first half of 2027, according to both reports.
The same day in London, the story repeated on the other side of the Atlantic. Seven of the United Kingdom's largest banks, among them Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, Monzo, Nationwide, NatWest and Santander, completed the first live customer transactions using tokenized sterling deposits on Quant-built infrastructure, according to DigitalAssetRadar, which cited UK Finance. UK Finance specified two remortgage completions plus one consumer marketplace transaction, according to the same report. The Clearing House deal is the headline, but the United Kingdom transactions are the evidence that the underlying machinery already moves customer money, AInvest argued, and that distinction matters for judging how much of Monday's move is speculation about 2027 and how much rests on work already done.
What the deal does not settle: the QNT token question
Nothing published so far settles the question traders care about most: how, or whether, the QNT token itself earns anything from the Clearing House network. Quant has not disclosed how QNT will be used in the Clearing House system, AInvest noted, so the deal confirms Quant's infrastructure role, not automatic QNT utility. A Binance Square analysis on October 11, 2026 made the same point in plainer terms: the company won real work, but the token investors can buy is not equity in that company, and the gap between those two facts is the whole investment question. Readers should keep that gap in mind before treating a bank infrastructure contract as a token cash flow.
The derivatives data leans the same cautious way. Open interest for QNT dropped from $190 million to $120 million since October 2, 2026, according to CoinStats, while the funding rate rose to negative 0.0018% from negative 0.0544%, indicating reduced bearish bias, according to the same source. The October 25 price action was sharp but orderly: Quant climbed 4.25% in one hour to $196 on Binance spot in the hour ending at 17:56 UTC on Sunday, a rise of $8 from $188, with $80,000 in short liquidations across Binance, Bybit and OKX and no long liquidations in that hour, according to TokenPost. At that snapshot QNT was up 10.66% over 24 hours, according to the same report, and in a separate October 25 ranking of the top 90 cryptocurrencies excluding stablecoins, Quant gained 5.58% on the day, behind Ethena at 8.66%, according to Pluang market news. Monday's 3.15% gain is therefore a continuation of a weekend move, not a fresh single-day breakout.
The levels and the calendar
Technically, the token sits just under a round number it nearly touched in the last day. The 24-hour high of $199.98, according to CoinGecko, leaves $200 as the immediate level to watch, while the 24-hour low of $178.09 marks the floor of the current range. A daily close above $200 would put the token at its best level of the recent run, while a loss of $178.09 would erase Monday's gain and most of the weekend's. The longer frame is humbling: QNT remains 55.5% below its all-time high of $427.42, set on September 11, 2021, according to CoinGecko, so even after an 89.0% 30-day gain, the token trades at less than half its peak.
The calendar, not the chart, sets the next tests. Tickeron flagged three interim announcements that could reshape expectations before any transaction flows: participating banks being named, disclosed use cases, and any clarification of token economics. The Clearing House schedule gives those tests dates to attach to: design and integration through fall 2026, a prepared opening group in the first quarter of 2027, and transactions targeted for the second quarter of 2027. If the first quarter of 2027 arrives without named banks, the schedule itself becomes the story, and a token that rose on a timetable will have to answer for a timetable slipping.
What the rally does not prove
Nothing in Monday's data proves the Clearing House network will generate demand for QNT. The network is not live, the token's role in it is undisclosed, open interest has fallen by more than a third since October 2, and the token is still down over seven days despite the 30-day surge. What Monday does prove is narrower and still notable: a long-running interoperability token with a dated bank rollout schedule can still top the trending lists and draw $79 million in a day's trading on the strength of an institutional timetable. Whether named banks and disclosed use cases follow in the first quarter of 2027 is the test that decides whether this is a bank deal becoming a token story, or a token story borrowing a bank deal's credibility.
