Hong Kong Gets Second Spot Solana ETF as Pando Lists 2831.HK on October 13
Published October 12, 2026, 10:15 PKT. Drawing on October 12 official Solana announcements reported by Cointime and Lookonchain, plus October 2025 reporting on ChinaAMC's first Hong Kong Solana ETF.
Hong Kong will welcome its second spot Solana exchange-traded fund on October 13, 2026, when the Pando Solana ETF begins trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under ticker 2831.HK. The launch, announced in official Solana communications on October 12, gives the city two regulated spot SOL products nearly a year after China Asset Management (Hong Kong) pioneered the first one.
The 2831.HK debut
The Pando Solana ETF lists as Hong Kong's second spot Solana fund, adding a new issuer alongside ChinaAMC. Per the announcements reported on October 12 by Cointime and Lookonchain, the fund joins a spot SOL lineup that has been building momentum across Asia: Solana itself reported that the global net asset size of spot Solana ETFs now stands at $1.9 billion, with cumulative net inflows of $1.61 billion. Finnhub market data already carries the fund as a Hong Kong-listed equity, PANDO SOLANA ETF (2831.HK), trading on the XHKG exchange.
Details of the fund's fee schedule, board-lot size and currency counters were not disclosed in the initial announcement, and no public prospectus was available at the time of writing. The first Hong Kong spot Solana ETF set the regional template: ChinaAMC's 03460 lists in Hong Kong dollars, US dollars and renminbi with a 0.99% annual management fee, about a $100 minimum investment, and trading and custody support from OSL Exchange and OSL Digital Securities.
A year after ChinaAMC broke the seal
The Securities and Futures Commission approved Hong Kong's first spot Solana ETF on October 22, 2025, issued by ChinaAMC (Hong Kong), and it began trading on October 27, 2025, making Solana the third cryptocurrency after Bitcoin and Ether to get a spot fund in the city. Its first day brought HKD 11.39 million in trading volume and HKD 21.29 million in initial net assets, roughly 13,461 SOL, with the HKD counter closing at a 0.60% discount, according to Crypto Economy's launch-day coverage.
That fund supports both cash and in-kind creations and redemptions but offers no staking yield, mirroring the structure of Hong Kong's earlier Bitcoin and Ether ETFs. The arrival of a second issuer signals the product category is durable enough to attract competition, a year into Asia's experiment with regulated spot SOL exposure.
Global SOL ETF tally hits $1.9 billion
The $1.9 billion in global spot SOL ETF net assets, with $1.61 billion of cumulative inflows, puts Solana's regulated wrapper track record in a positive light even as US spot funds lag: no American spot Solana ETF had won approval as of late 2025 coverage, and subsequent US decisions kept the products waiting while Hong Kong built the category. SOL traded near $111 on October 11, according to Basis Desk's market-close data, well below its late-2025 levels, yet the ETF pipeline has kept widening.
Thailand's Bitcoin and Ether ETFs go live October 16
The Hong Kong listing lands days before Thailand's new crypto ETF framework takes effect on October 16, under rules the Thai SEC finalized in early October that initially limit products to Bitcoin and Ether. Together, the two events give Asia regulated spot crypto exposure across four assets, with Hong Kong covering SOL and Thailand covering BTC and ETH, even as the US market still waits on its own spot Solana decisions.
