Binance bStocks Cross $1 Billion in Assets, the Fastest Tokenized Equity Product to Hit the Mark

Binance announced on October 15, 2026 that bStocks, its tokenized U.S. securities, have crossed $1 billion in assets under management, making the product the fastest tokenized equity offering to reach the milestone, roughly four months after launching on June 11, 2026. The company cited on-chain data from Dune Research, measured as of October 15, as the basis for the figure.
Four months, $40 billion in volume
The announcement stacked up the figures since launch: more than $40 billion in cumulative trading volume, averaging over $300 million per day; nearly 100 bStocks assets listed, up from five at launch in June; and $6 billion converted between direct stock positions and bStocks at 1:1 parity, with no broker transfer and no market-hours wait, according to Binance.
bStocks are tokenized representations of U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs, each fully backed 1:1 by the underlying security, the announcement said. They trade around the clock, settle on-chain, transfer between the exchange and self-custodial wallets, and can be converted 1:1 into direct stock holdings within a single Binance account. Each token fully redeems into the underlying security itself, not merely its cash value, which keeps the token anchored to the stock it represents.
"The test of a tokenized stock isn't the launch-day chart; it's whether it still behaves like a market after the launch," Shunyet Jan, Binance's Head of Exchange and Trading, said in the announcement. "bStocks trade around the clock, get used as collateral, move between self-custodial wallets, and convert 1:1 into direct stock holdings. Today, more than a billion dollars of that is held on Binance, and it's being used, not just held."
Used, not just held: collateral and 24/7 flow
Binance says the milestone reflects usage, not passive holding. In July, only 38% of bStocks volume occurred during regular U.S. market hours, compared with 89.2% for conventional U.S. equities, according to the announcement. On-chain transfers of tokenized stocks across the market exceeded $100 billion in the third quarter of 2026, more than 16 times the $6 billion recorded in the first quarter, with bStocks accounting for over 90% of weekly transfer volume at the early-August peak.
The tokens are also doing double duty as collateral. Outstanding borrowing against deposited bStocks collateral reached 46.2% by September 10, up from 5.5% at the end of June, an 8.4-fold increase, Binance said. In early October, bStocks deployment into decentralized finance, measured by total value locked, rose to 11.2%, about 3.8 percentage points above the rate across comparable tokenized equities. Last month, Binance extended bStocks collateral support to all eligible users, letting traders post supported bStocks as margin and futures collateral and borrow quote assets to build exposure with up to 5x leverage. Data from the end of July showed that 58.5% of early bStocks users also traded perpetual futures or direct equities on Binance, the company said.
Fastest-growing RWA category of 2026
Tokenized equities have become the fastest-growing real-world asset category of 2026, according to Binance, with the category's market capitalization more than quadrupling to over $3 billion by late September. The company framed the $1 billion bStocks figure as evidence that tokenized equities are becoming an enduring on-chain market rather than a launch-day phenomenon.
The product's legal wrapper classifies bStocks as Certificates representing certain Financial Instruments under the Abu Dhabi Global Market's FSMR, offered through an approved prospectus in the ADGM, and the announcement noted they are not stocks or shares and do not confer direct ownership in the underlying companies. Binance said it does not onboard or service U.S. persons, and the tokens are not available in the United States.
