Securitize Launches Tokenized Apple, Nvidia and Tesla Shares on Solana, Eyes NYSE Trading
Published October 9, 2026, 02:45 UTC. Securitize announced Securitize Stocks on Oct. 8, 2026.
Securitize, the tokenization firm listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker SECZ, launched Securitize Stocks on October 8, a line of tokenized U.S. equities for eligible investors in the United States, the European Union and other permitted jurisdictions, the company said in an announcement shared with CoinDesk. The product puts 12 U.S. equities onchain as security entitlements backed one-for-one by real shares.
The 12 stocks: Apple, Nvidia, Tesla and nine more
The first batch covers Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Tesla, Meta, Amazon, Netflix, Circle, Strategy and Palantir, according to the announcement as reported by CoinDesk, with a twelfth ticker in the SPCX range also listed, Crypto Times reported. Access is limited to eligible investors who clear onboarding, identity and anti-money-laundering checks, and trading begins during extended U.S. market hours, with Securitize planning a move to 24/7 availability on an unspecified timeline, Cointelegraph reported.
What holders actually own: a security entitlement, not a synthetic
Securitize positions the tokens as more than price-tracking wrappers, according to Blockchain Reporter. Each token is backed one-for-one by a real share and structured as a security entitlement under Article 8 of the Uniform Commercial Code, which the company says preserves applicable shareholder benefits, including dividends and voting rights where the underlying class carries them. The tokens are convertible, where supported, to direct ownership recorded on the books of the issuer's transfer agent, and the shares backing them will not be lent out, Blockchain Reporter reported.
Trading starts on Solana, NYSE and OKXICE come later
Trading opens on Solana through Securitize's registered broker-dealer platform, with trades settling in USDC and Jump Trading providing liquidity through a PropAMM, a professional automated market maker, according to CoinDesk and Unchained. RQD supports clearing, custody and settlement, CoinDesk reported. Securitize also expects the tokens to trade on the NYSE's planned 24/7 digital trading platform and the OKXICE Tokenized Securities Venue, a joint venture of NYSE parent Intercontinental Exchange and crypto exchange OKX, though neither venue has launched and both remain subject to regulatory requirements, CoinDesk reported. The launch comes as the SEC explores an innovation exemption for tokenized securities venues, and Solana confirmed the launch in an October 8 post on X, saying the offering is compatible with the SEC's Innovation Exemption framework for Tokenized Securities Venues, Crypto Times reported.
A crowded tokenized-stock race
The launch deepens the fast-moving race to put equities onchain. The OKXICE venue alone lists 63 tickers across 62 companies in its public notice, Newscord reported, putting pressure on every issuer to pair a compliant structure with real trading venues. Cointelegraph reported Securitize shares climbed about 10% on Thursday after the announcement. Ripple Prime plans to support the launch and explore folding the assets into its institutional trading services, while Aave founder Stani Kulechov flagged the potential for the tokens to be used as collateral in lending markets, according to Cointelegraph and Blockchain Reporter. Securitize reported roughly $5 billion in assets under management as of September 2026, Blockchain Reporter said.
